FOR
IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 1, 2008
NEW PRESIDENT AND MANAGEMENT TEAM LEAD
ROBERT-JAMES SALES INTO 21st CENTURY
(Buffalo) Robert-James Sales, Inc., the leading US
distributor of stainless steel piping products, has
now introduced its second president since the founding
of the company 35 years ago. James Bokor, Jr. is appointed
President, following in the footsteps of his father,
James Bokor, Sr. and uncle Robert Glidden who founded
the company in 1972 and who both now reside in Florida.
Bokor Sr., a renowned stainless steel industry expert,
and Glidden remain on the Board of Directors as Chairman
and Vice Chairman, respectively. They will continue
to be involved in the daily operations of the business.
Bokor, Jr. has literally grown up in the business
under the tutelage of his father and joined Robert-James
Sales in 1991 after graduating from Elmira College
with a degree in business. Over the past few years,
he has worked closely with all of Robert-James Sales
eight regional offices and warehouses located in Cleveland,
Cincinnati, Chicago, Indianapolis, Minneapolis, Raleigh,
South Plainfield (NJ) and Tavernier (FL).
Robert-James Sales has built its reputation on a large
standing inventory of stainless steel pipe, fittings
and flanges in all sizes that enable it to fill more
than 80% of orders directly from stock. Stocking warehouses
include the 200,000 square foot facility in Buffalo
along with other regional warehouses at the eight
office locations spanning the Midwest and Northeast.
“We
are known in the trade as a stable and conservative
company with dynamic growth,” observes Jim Bokor,
Jr. who notes that 2007 broke the company’s
record for total sales. “The new management
team now set in place will provide a platform of stable
transition and continued growth as we serve our customers
in the upcoming years. It is built on our unique work
ethic and entrepreneurial success that we have cultivated
over the past 35 years.”
Assisting the new president is a team of veteran Robert-James
Sales professionals who assume new management roles
as the company enters the next century. Joseph McIntosh
has been promoted from Vice President Finance to company
Treasurer. McIntosh has worked in various rolls in
the company’s finance department since 1988.
Replacing veteran Executive Vice President, William
Barto, who retires after 35 years of distinguished
service, is Jeffrey Parrish who will assume the roll
of National Sales Manager. Parrish has held various
sales rolls since he started with the company in 1990.
Assisting him will be Scott Hughes as Sales Manager.
Hughes joined the company in 2001 and worked as an
outside salesman based at the Buffalo headquarters
office. |
